Description

The market square Staendertorvet has a lot of pavement. Since 2009 the Tournesol project (french for sunflower) came into existence the flowerbeds of the cathedral are used for thes beautiful sunflowers. The tournesol project is paying hommage to the yearly Tour de France event. Similar flowers are planted at roundabouts in Roskilde as part of the Tournesol project

This flowerbed reduces a littlebit the heatstress of the market sqaure. Mobile green is another applied strategy at the marketsquare. Besides heatstress reduction the visual quality of this fully paved parketsquare with parking area is improved.
