Kopupaka reserve consists of a reconstructed wetland, to manage stormwater run-off from neighbouring streets and buildings. The wetland ponds are surrounded by large timber functional sculptures which aim to incorporate a cultural layer into the project: the large timber 'baskets' reference Harakeke, Kete and Hinaki.
