Permeable Pavement

Subsurface Infiltration

Gully Free Roads

Created at: 24 Jan 2022

Description

Rainwater infiltrates throught the pavement and is stored in the hardrock chips and the permavoid crates. From there is it slowly being drained to the surface water. The streetside roof gutters discharge into the permavoid crates under the road.

Infiltration capacity was tested on 16-12-2021 by full-scale testing (SIA-RAAK onderzoek Waterbergende Weg) and an infiltration speed of 745mm/hour was found.
