Rain(a)Way Eindhoven

Grid Pavers (permeable pavement)

Created at: 26 May 2017

Description

We design climate-friendly floor tiles. You can combine them in different patterns. We also like to think about smart innovative patterns.

The Rain(a)Way Flood is inspired by the Japanese architecture and culture where water is naturally integrated in public spaces. Where current water storage systems are usually residing underground, The Flood tile stores rainwater visibly while allowing it to slowly infiltrate the soil. In this way also people passing by can enjoy the natural cycle of water.

The Rain(a)Way Ebb tile lead the rainwater in a visible way to a desired infiltration or storage location. You cannot just store water anywhere, so often transportation is necessary. Obviously, the Ebb tile makes it for example easy to guide rainwater from your drainpipes into a rain garden. However, the pattern has many more possibilities. By playing with the arrangement, you can create any type of personal urban river matching the location.
